Group support meetings back in person from August

We are excited to be bringing our group support meetings back in person, allowing adults to access peer support with people who understand what you are going through.

Having paused our monthly face to face support groups over the course of the pandemic, we are pleased to finally be able to start them up from August this year.

Our group sessions are open to anyone over the age of 18, whether you’re worried about your own mental health or supporting someone else with mental health difficulties. It can be isolating to be in either of these positions, and therefore many people find it useful to talk to others who are going through something similar. These kinds of support groups are proven to help, and people find it far easier to help others when they are receiving help themselves.

Our groups are run by a trained mental health professional, and aim to foster a safe and comfortable environment to share your thoughts and experiences. There will be a maximum of 8 attendees per session.

Group sessions will run on the second Tuesday of every month, starting on 9th August, 6.30pm - 7.45pm, at Open Door Counselling on Greenfield Crescent. There will be a small charge of £5 per session, paid in cash on the day.

If you are interested in attending, please get in touch by calling 0121 454 1116, or by filling out the booking form on our group sessions page, and we will add you to our attendee list.
