WORK WITH US
CHARITY TRUSTEE
Would you like help our organisation make a real difference to people’s lives?
Open Door is a leading provider of person centred counselling and has been offering a calm, confidential space for people to talk for over 50 years. We are currently seeking new trustees to join our team.
ABOUT THE ROLE OF TRUSTEE
Charity trustees are volunteers who offer their time, expertise and experience in an unpaid capacity to further the charitable work of the organisation. Trustees meet a minimum of four times per year, acting together to provide a clear vision and direction for the charity and supporting the senior leadership team to achieve the organisation’s goals and objectives.
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone with an interest in helping support the charity to continue to develop and deliver our valuable work.
We would like to expand the expertise and the diversity of our Board by recruiting new trustees who will bring additional skills, insights and lived experiences.
We are looking for committed caring and passionate individuals who may have relevant knowledge, networks and experience.
Applications will need to have good communication skills and be willing to learn about the charity and its work.
We are particularly interested to hear from anyone with a background in mental health, teaching and education, or with legal experience. Or you may have experienced mental health problems yourself, or be a parent or carer with a wealth of experience of the needs of children and young people.
The above is not a definitive list and if you would like to find out more and have an informal telephone conversation then please don’t hesitate to call the Chief Executive, Carmel Mullan-Hartley, for an informal chat on 0121 454 1116.
To apply please send your CV with a covering email explaining what you think you would bring to the role, to carmel@opendoorcounselling.org.uk
A full induction into the role of a trustee will be provided to any successful candidate.
