ABOUT OPEN DOOR COUNSELLING

Open Door is a leading provider of person centred counselling and has been offering a calm, confidential space for people to talk for over 50 years. Established in 1967 by a group of visionary counsellors and psychiatrists to serve the needs of vulnerable young people across Birmingham, we now provide a range of counselling services for people of all ages across the West Midlands.

Everyone feels down sometimes, but talking can really help. We provide professional, affordable counselling services for children (5yrs+), young people and adults in our warm and welcoming counselling rooms in Edgbaston, Birmingham.

Our monthly facilitated support group provides peer support from others who understand what you’re going through. Suitable for anyone over 18 who is worried about their mental health or that of someone close to them.

Personal therapy is an essential part of the development of any future counsellor, key to enabling growth and self-awareness. We offer discounted sessions for trainee counsellors.
