Volunteer Recruitment, Training and Selection

Are you interested in volunteering for a Leading Birmingham Person Centred Counselling Service?

Have you completed a Diploma in Person Centred Counselling?  

Or 

Have you completed at least your First Year of Person Centred Diploma in Counselling (or equivalent)?

Would you like to work with adults aged 26 and over, offering short/ medium/ long term Person Centred Counselling as a Volunteer Counsellor?

Open Door Counselling, established in 1967, is a BACP Accredited Service based in Edgbaston, Birmingham.

You are invited to attend an Information Session on Thursday 15th February 6pm - 7.30pm here at 2 Greenfield Crescent, Edgbaston, B15 3BE (there is on road parking although this can be limited)

Here you will find out more about the service, the details of our recruitment and training programme and you will be given opportunity to ask any questions you have.

Please note to be eligible to apply for our volunteer recruitment and training you must hold at least a Diploma in Person Centred Counselling or have completed at least your First year in a Diploma in Person Centred Counselling.

If you are successful through our recruitment and training you would be expected to commit to a weekly 3 hour shift.

Prior to commencing any voluntary work with Open Door, references will be taken up and an Enhanced DBS will be undertaken.
