Refresh and restore - our wellbeing day for staff
Open Door Staff Wellbeing Day - 24th November 2019
Staff are one of the most valuable assets in any organisation. It is therefore important to give some dedicated time to support their emotional wellbeing and mental health.
Open Door have invited all our staff to attend a well being day this month. They will be able to enjoy and experience guided relaxation, pilates, reiki, aromatherapy and Indian head massage.
The day will be facilitated by our Director, Carmel, who will also deliver the guided relaxation. We are delighted to have Darren and Steph with us on the day, providing alternative therapies. Please see below for more information about them.
Stephanie, Apple Lodge Therapies
Stephanie offers holistic treatments, combining Eastern and Western techniques through Massage and Reiki, which can be a powerful tool in facilitating change. She will be offering 20-minute taster sessions of different therapies on the day, ranging from energy healing to massage and reiki. Recharging this way increases wellbeing. In her words: ‘As counsellors/healers we can hold onto many emotions which are not ours to carry. Ensure a wellbeing maintenance program for yourself to restore your own energy and let go of stress which causes dis-ease. These therapies bring your mind, body and soul back into balance.’
Darren Yeomans, DY Pilates
Darren is a classically trained Pilates teacher, teaching the method as originally taught by Joseph Pilates. He has been teaching for five years and is qualified to teach on all studio apparatus. He teaches classes and private lessons at Cool Pilates Studio in the Jewellery Quarter, and also teaches at his home studio in Hednesford. Visit his website for more information.
If any employer would like to support their staff in this way please contact Carmel who will support you to organise and cost a similar event.
